Stuart Glass centre piece
« on: March 31, 2011, 03:05:03 PM »
Hi

Here is a 1930s (I think) Stuart centre piece - it is in amber glass and measures 9.5" diam and 3" tall

It's just I was told or read these are quite collectable - is that true?

Clearly etched Stuart England to base with ground pontil

Thanks Adam

date wise I think that your backstamp is indicating that it may well have been made right up until c. 1950, or thereabouts.   Anything is collectable at the right price, but think this factory is not quite in the same league as IOW - W/Fs. or Webbs, perhaps, but nonetheless a nice piece.   Did the seller tell you it was collectable ;D

I think these posy holders are very nice. Adam, I love the colour of yours. If I had the space I'd collect them just because I like them so much.   :sun:
