Amber glass hedgehogs
« on: June 21, 2019, 04:30:21 PM »
I can see from searching the board that hedgehogs appear to be a popular topic.  I had to buy all three of these as they were just sitting there, looking at me.  Honestly.....I really did try to just pick up one!

They are very light.....50g, 55g, and 65g.....the last thing to be weighed before the scales died.  Approx. 10cm nose to bottom.  Some light lustre effect in places.

A google image search found nothing like them, and there isn't one in Frank's Zoo, so over to you all.

I wonder if these are lampwork?  Were they being sold as new or second-hand?  They are super cute. :)

Second hand in charity shop.  The one on the left has more lustre spines than the others, and they all have different expressions so feel very handmade.  Did wonder if they would be called lamp work, but I wasn't sure because of the hollow bodies.  I really love their little legs and feet.....most of the hedgehogs I have found seem to have flat bottoms, or little glass stubs.
