«

Hello, I bought this vase on eBay, which is marked Kosta 20231 under the base. Can anyone identify the designer?
Many thanks.

Its number is considerably earlier than those current in the 1986 edition of the Kosta Boda Book of Glass. A very lovely piece, congratulations.

Hello, thank you for the information. I thought it looked like Lindstrand, but, no initials in the signature. Here's a couple of photos:

Hi
Thanks for posting more pics.
According to the Kosta Boda numbering system the 2nd & 3rd digits of a 5 digit code indicate year of design = 2002 which is odd as by then they had switched to a 7 digit numbering system (4th & 5th digit = year of design). Could the first 2 digits be separate from the second 3 or even be initials? It''s hard to tell from you photo.

Hello, here's a better picture of the signature. I suppose the first symbols could be initials. Hard to tell:

This is indeed a model designed by Vicke Lindstrand. It is called "On flight", and the original model number was LG 231. It first appears in the 1959 catalog.

Hello, thank you all for your information. This is the only one of these I have seen. I can't believe someone sat and spent so much time engraving this piece, and that they were mass produced.
