My £1 bargain, but is it Murano?
« on: January 22, 2006, 01:55:52 PM »
Went on a morning mooch today and picked this up in aid of the local air ambulance. It screams Murano, but something tells me it isn't. It measures 10" x 9" maximum and has a fair amount of age wear to the base. Not the sort of piece I'd normally buy, but with the vegetable pasties, custard tart and free range eggs, it rounded the bill up to a fiver for a good cause.

That's a big piece of glass for £1!!  Bargain!   :D  I think it's Murano too, but there's something about the bubbles and indentation pattern that feels a bit odd.   :?  I like it though.   :D

Yes I think it's the bubbles that just don't look Murano to me, but if it's not then I'm a bit short on ideas.
