Have just checked through my newly acquired Caithness Book (Mark Hill)  and although not pictured it could be from the Bolero range produced from 1993 on. It is mentioned on page 72 as having replaced the Concerto range which went up to 7 inches in size , and says << The range (Concerto) was discontinued in 1993 and replaced by Bolero, effectively a large version of Rondo with some different shapes"

other than that cannot help. I have never seen one so large either.

Hi, Thank you for that,I'll look for those ranges and compare them!.Do you think that the 03 is a date?,I have not seen this mark before,most of the Caithness glass that I come across just has a label or is marked simply 'Caithness', with no other numbers.

Yes,I think it probably is the date,presumably 2003,I guess I was hoping it might be a number as in a limited edition number!...
