glass mark - ID = Ole Winthe "Viking" carafe for Holmegaard
« on: April 13, 2011, 02:30:33 AM »
i just out of my local oppie having picked up and considered buying a turquoise blue clear bottle/ carafe with a very convex base and with the  mark of an E inside a C and a crown on top.
Wasnt prepared to risk it this time however I did a rough drawing of the mark, Does anyone know who it is.

Thanks Ivo but it isn't. It has an E the middle of the C. I have googled and gaggled but I cannot find a starting point at all. I thought it might have been Crown and something starting with E

Oh bother I just might go and risk it.  I think glass is 5% purchasing and 95% researching.

where was the mark - was it on the front of the carafe?
I think it may be a Holmegaard decanter.
The ones with this on were made for Cherry..... (sorry can't remember the rest, but I'll look it up for you now)
Ah, Cherry Elsinore - was it like this one here

mmmmmmmm longshot but this site I frequent has some what you could call similar marks if you scroll down to the Leerdam section.  Can't see anything with those initials though

Yes, but don't worry, you don't need to ask, it'll happen as we see them and have the time to do it. :)
