A great piece indeed! Hand made production allows for some some variation and this results in some excellent examples such as this one, I don't think you will easily find a better example of this pattern. These large ones are valued in the several hundred pounds range in the UK, so I doubt you have overspent...

Not a piece high up on my wishlist 8), but at 1,- Euro I gladly bought it:
small Beranek Pulegoso vase, 8.5 cm high.

What is nice about it: this seems to be the very first pattern in the Beranek/Skrdlovice pattern books (at least the ones published on the Pardubice site):
PN 451

1,- euro???  :thud:

Michael, you really must be the luckiest Czech glass collector on this board... not a wish list item for me either, but what a bargain!  Yay!

Great bargain, Michael, and very necessary to a decent Skrdlovice collection. I never see anything at anywhere near 1 euro. Well done.

Thanks, folks :hi:

It came from one of my favourite charity shops, where it sat in the "cheap glass corner" with a big orange 1,- Euro sticker.
But a rare exception, as they usually charge rather high prices for anything which could be quality...

I am afraid I am starting a collection -- my second Beranek Pulegoso piece :usd:

BTW, does anybody know if these were produced for a long time? (They seem to be quite easy to find...)

Easy to find?  Really?  I've yet to come across one.

Anik:  there are quite a few in Canada, but none at a dollar.

Odd... easy to find in Austria, Canada and even Australia, but not in Poland (Kraków)?  Hmmmm... Maybe, since they don't make my bells jingle, I simply haven't been noticing them.

Well, not that I see the Pulegoso pieces all the time, but at least not impossible to find (for something which was probably only made in the 1940s?)
Kevin :hi:, thanks a lot for the Season's greetings!
I guess down under is nicer weather than here -- grey, cold, wet...

And one more for the collection:
Roubickova design for Skrdlovice (PN 8848), execution by Beranek glassworks (it is labeled).
