It certainly does fit the thread.  Good piece!  Where did you find it, if you don't me asking?

Hi, I found it for 15 $ in our only active Thrift store here in Reykjavík Iceland.

We have a couple of antique stores that hafa a few pieces and sell them for 100$+ so I was very very lucky

Is the name of the designer known?

Its ca 19 cm high.

Many thanks

Helga

I am pretty sure it is an Emanuel Beranek design, circa 1956, certainly Skrdlovice well done Helga!
I will check the books... but certainly 1950's Skrdlovice...

Lovely vase, Helga!
So some very nice Czech glass has been exported to Iceland :)
I would guess Emanuel Beranek, PN 5651? (It is so difficult with those early Skrdlovice pieces :ho:)

thanks all!

I am i love with it absolutely

the "thumbprints" are quite close to each other and there is a lovely blue encasing at the bottom.

its this sort of luck that makes me want to go to the thrift store every day...ach

My favourite Stahlikova/Veliskova piece..., so far. I love the intensity of the blue and the hint of pink that surrounds it.  Many thanks to Anita for facilitating this sale for me. An angel from from Birmingham, to almost quote John Prine.

What a stunner! Congratulations! Pink and blue should always be seen together!

I needed to go through the "cattle dogs" again to do some "eye revision".

I thought it was 6011.
Those numbers down the bottom are 602277.
21 cm.
It's a biggie!

The basic shape looks similar to the Sarpaneva Lansetti II for Iittala in 1955.

I am bright green!

regards

and

Season's Greetings to all the Skrdlovici!

Wow, David, beautiful piece (and a bold design by the two ladies) -- congratulation!

I found a very nice early Veliskova ashtray the other day, but didnt have time to take pic...
