Thanks Anik!
The vase is quite impressive due to the sheer size...

Today's purchase (at 6,- Euro a little more expensive than the Palecek pieces from my previous post ;D): my first Oliva design, PN 7919/ 21 -- huge and quite attractive.

6 euro and a little more expensive than the Palecek pieces???  :o
OK, that's it...  I'm moving to Vienna, Austria.

(Michael, a super-fantastic buy!!!  I can't get over the prices you find all your gorgeous glass for. You must be the luckiest Czech glass collector under the sun.)

Thanks Anik!
I am often surprised as well that I get good glass for such little money (but feel reassured -- not all the time).
BTW, I had to bargain it down from 7,- Euro ;D

On the other hand the cut Stahlikova vase cost a fortune...

I am sure there is one or the other bargain at the Polish fleamarkets to be found :)

Another interesting Skrdlovice addition, from a range not often seen (CGR calls this range "Sabina"):

And here I was, thinking you had hit a dry patch, not having posted any Czech glass in a while.
Nice item, Michael.  Just think of the wow-factor when you find the matching vase...  :)

Edited to add:  Perhaps we should begin a new Skrdlovice thread?  This one is getting very long, and as a result, becoming more difficult to refer back to. Just a thought.

Anik, good idea -- should we ask a mod to close this thread?
Then we can start another one like "OUR Skrdlovice collections are growing nicely..." ;D

And yes, I wish I would have found the vase -- the colours would show much nicer in a taller piece...

Michael, with your amazing luck in finding Czech glass, I'm sure a matching vase is only weeks away. :)

P.S.  I've notified a moderator.

I reckon you two should put together a display of your present collections and post them in the "Themed" Collections for us all to admire.  I rarely see Czech glass in Melbourne and when I do it is usually more of the same.  I would love to see the effect of a grouped display of your respective collections.
