Good additions, both of you. Despite not being fond of many candleholders, I seem to have a few. Not my favourite style, Michael, but I wouldn't be able to resist it if I saw it for sale.

Good photograph, Anika. I've seen a similar piece on the net recently, probably listed as Murano, and I wasn't sure about it. Yours looks very good, so thanks for clearing that up.  I'll have a couple to add when I get home.

David, still in Maui?

I agree, not my favourite style either, but quite nice and delicate in real life (and I'm sure you wouldn't have been able to resist at 5,- Euro :))

I really don't like glass swans (though I do like real ones... fascinating creatures).  But I am quite taken with these.
Michael, 5,- euro was a ridiculously wonderful price.   :)

At €5 I would have bought a dozen. I haven't seen any cheap Skrdlovice for ages.

The prices are rising here in Australia, too! My last piece in the St Vincent de Paul was $25. At the Salvation Army everything Czech is $70 or more!

:smg:  I'm very excited about my newest addition... a gorgeous 8611 / 21cm signed VIZNER F. to the bottom.

I was hoping it would be by Vizner's own hand, but a kind soul pointed out that there is a possibility it was signed by a factory worker, and not the designer.

Feel free to ooze with envy.  I can handle it. ;D

Anik,

OK, I'll make you happy. I'll admit I'm extremely envious. It's a very nice piece.

A great Vizner design, I haven't seen many that I don't like! A quality purchase Anik,

Thank you for all the happy comments!  It really is a lovely item -- and I'm  especially fond of the colour.
