San Marcos Tornado Relief Sale
« on: April 30, 2011, 04:09:46 AM »
Hi, all. I'm sure everyone has heard about the tornado that caused such devastation in Alabama. San Marcos Art Glass is having a sale this week to raise money for relief efforts. Half of all profits (price - inventory cost) will go to relief efforts. I am trying to find a qualified organization to receive contributions in rural St. Clair county. The county suffered heavy loss and casualties, but being rural, has a more difficult time receiving help. (If no organization is qualified, contributions will be made to the Salvation Army.)

The community response to the tornadoes has been wonderful. Everyone is hard at work taking one hour at a time. There is so much to do. If you don't need any glass, you can still make donations at the Red Cross or Salvation Army websites.

I'll be adding new inventory this week, including a Tommaso Buzzi hen. Everything will be on sale, so check by to see if there is something you love. http://sanmarcosartglass.rubylane.com

The sale ends tomorrow, but I'm going to continue donating half the profits for another week. Just think -- if the storm had changed its direction by 1 degree after it reached our county, it would have destroyed all San Marcos glass!
