Hi Keith,

Have a look at my website for all things Molineaux & Webb

http://sites.google.com/site/molwebbhistory/Home

They liquidated in 1929. The only info I have about what was sold on comes from the following note at time of liquidation:

William Davies & Son have been instructed to sell by auction on Wednesday the 6th day of November 1929, at eleven o'clock at the Works, 6 Kirby Street, off Mill Street, Ancoats, in the city of Manchester, the Whole of the MANUFACTURED GLASS WARE of the Company, comprising Antique Glass, Cut Electrio Standards, Scent Bottles, Biscuit Barrels, Compotes and Wine Glasses, Water Bottles, Compotes Nappies, Measures, Celery Glasses, Tumblers, Wine Glasses, Electric Standards, Lamp Chimneys, Salad Bowls, Biscuit jars, Honey Jars, Chemical Ware, and other miscellaneous Glassware.  The above will be offered in large or small lots to suit purchasers.

I don't know if the moulds were sold on but I note that if you type "pressed glass" into the following site dealing with discontinued lines, one of the items they have for sale is a MolWebb Greek Key item. I don't know if they pick up one off pieces from various places or if it's a genuine discontinued line - doubt they would have it continuously in stock from 1929...

Oh, I should also say that the buildings continued to be used as a glassworks until at least the early 1960s so it's possible the moulds stayed on site and continued to be used.

Why the question? Does he think it might be a repro? If so, why? It would surprise me if it was.
