No real surprise in the style of weights from ViDa Glass.

As the seller's various auction listings state, the maker, David Hurry, used to work with Paul Ysart at the Harland "factory".

The current eBay listings are the first I have heard of these weights, and also the ViDa company. It will be interesting to see if weights are a regular feature - so far none are shown in the company website, which is only in Norwegian!

AUCTION INVALID
« Reply #4 on: September 06, 2006, 06:21:52 PM »
For some reason, either the link is wrong, or the item was stolen and reported as such and eBay killed the auction, this auction is now being displayed as INVALID.

Here's what you get clicking on the link in the Ray's post:
This listing (7386616588) has been removed or is no longer available. Please make sure you entered the right item number.
If the listing was removed by eBay, consider it canceled. Note: Listings that have ended more than 90 days ago will no longer appear on eBay.

Nine months? How is that possible? How does somebody get - or keep - a nine-month old link? I sure do wish I could keep my eBay auction pages that long.

The actual post was made in January, which was when the link was also posted.
Obviously, adding to the thread will bring it to the top of the forum list, regardless of when the original post was placed, which is what Frank did to provide more examples of David Hurry's work.
Enjoying being in the Midlands.......some people are just amazing....
