Lamp base, but by who?
« on: January 31, 2006, 05:50:52 PM »
Hi all,

I have acquired this lamp base, glass of course, very 60's-70's?

http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/albums/userpics/10026/lamp.jpg

I am contemplating selling it, but would love to be able to name a maker/designer for it too.
There is also a light within the base.
Luckily my OH is an electician, so tomorrow he will rewire it so that I can see it in all its glory.

As always, any help would be greatly appreciated.
If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

Thank you Ivo,

Great to see you back.

I will 'google' when I have finished debugging my computer.
It is too slow at the moment.

Oh, someone was selling one of these on eBay just recently as Holmegaard... but I thought Italian - but that's wholley down to the mustard colour, rather than the style, as I've previously owned a labeled Italian lamp in an identical hue. It's not a style I'd readily associate with Italian lamps, admittedly, but I had no other points of reference.

Thanks for the link Nic.
The lady who gave it to me said she thought it came from Italy too.
She also had an identical lamp but, in purple non-the-less.
Plenty to keep me going this evening :!:
