Superb Åseda Glasbruk Information
David E:
--- Quote from: "vidfletch" ---I have copies of the actual press releases with the Aseda logo etc. I am not allowed to reproduce those.
The information is free to use though. It is merely fact!

What I really meant was whether this information can be quoted verbatim as written by the author. While you have permission, I would like to use it on my web site, but copying en bloc would be considered plagiarism, wouldn't it?
Lustrousstone:
If they were issued as press releases, then using verbatim is fine as by their very nature I don't see how there can be any copyright on them. It happens everyday, some companies even get upset if they are not used verbatim and are edited. A reference to both the originator and the 'current supplier' would be polite though, as these are historical releases.
David E:
Thanks for the reassurance Christine: I'm always a little wary about using material without permission.
vidrioguapo:
For my sins, I used to be a P.R. person for a while, and never had a problem if someone wanted to publish a press release verbatim...as Christine says it is OK and is very much welcomed by those who wrote it in the first place...at least the facts do not become distorted!!! Emmi
PS Nice info - thanks David

Plagiarism is when you claim you wrote something somebody else did.
As long as you properly reference the author and the source, your only problem is copyright, if you use too much material, as far as I know.
