Just an update
I have been bidding on other da Ros Cenedese pieces (unsuccesfully so far) but in the process have been in correspondence with this Ebay seller in Germany - and they seem to be somewhat expert in this field. (does anyone know of them??) Design and Arts
I sent him a photo of my bird - here is his reply.

Subject: AW: possible Cenedese Da Ros Bird - Australia

Hello Jackie.
Congratulations. This is an very rare bird from the Sixties and designed by Antonio da Ros. Made in Neodymium Alexandrite glass and with inlaid glass ribbon. Best regards, Andreas Team design-and-arts>>
I then asked him if he could point me at his source information or if he could just tell from his experience with da Ros' work.
he replied today: << Hello Jackie, sorry for coming back late. We are short stuffed because of vacation time. I mean I have seen it in a book but cannot remember in which one. And we have had it before but only one item, so it is very rare. Best regards, Andreas>>
So (Mods please) I wondered if this could be moved to Murano and see if anyone on that board may also have seen it before and be able to help me pin point where? I would like to buy the book if it is in one somewhere. Thanks
Jackie
