First one I've seen,5 inch variety,is the circle in the base common on clear glass 'hanky' vases :huh: ;D ;D

The 5-inch one is not common, as Chance Expressions reveals. But the pattern had to finish somewhere, hence the circle!  ;D

Yes, it can be seen on all the handkerchief vases, but not the Gingham plates where it finishes with a pin-hole.
