Amberina Glass Compote
« on: May 29, 2011, 07:55:10 PM »
Had one similar to this some 10 years ago but sold it - was identified as Amberina from 1880s to 90s - can't remeber country or maker - 5" high, 4.5" diameter at top

Can anyone help?

Adam

 :hi: Adam,

similar to Brockwitz 1915 KOPENHAGEN, but more probable seems Kastrup, Denmark sugar bowl # 701 of their 1924 catalogue, maybe earlier

Experience teaches that anyone who begins to collect in any field can feel a change in his soul. He becomes a joyful man filled with a deeper empathy, and a more open understanding moves his soul.
Alfred Lichtwark (1852-1914)
