Thanks chopin-list did feel a pillock though, Quite a preety thing the stopper is very worn also in the middle where it seals on the rim defo appears to be of a decent age etc more than that i cant tell though  :phew:

It's not worn - it's deliberately ground to fit the hole!
My personal feeling is that these clear, teardrop-shaped stoppers appear with pieces which have been made post-Harris.
