Well its USG which stands for United States Glass Co. Pittsburgh, PA. Problem is that USG was a conglomerate of sorts with numerous factories (which would take me pages to go through) & I don't think you set is Tiffin so I'd be more inclined to have you look at Adams & Co. or Bryce Brothers, both of which produced lines of this type. Thank you, you've already told me much more than I knew!

If I could trouble you again - I'm willing to sift through pages - do you think I could find this in a depression glass book?  Thanks!

You could try. Here is a good source http://clicksnipwow.com/chataboutdg/index.php
and www.chataboutdg.com is the forum to go with it.

Thanks, Christine.

And I shouldn't have typed 'Depression glass', there's a word for the type of better glass US manufacturers distributed to stores, isn't there? It escapes me for the moment.  Ken probably knows what I'm talking about!
