Is Sommerso a casing technique that can be applied to glass made anywhere or one that just applies to Murano glass. I have an ashtray, which is labelled LSA International and probably made in Poland. I described it as a geode-style ashtray on ebay but have had it removed because "geode-style" is keyword spamming, apparently!

http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,3906.msg30460.html#msg30460 I used geode-style purely because that was what I thought it looked like, i.e., a geode cut in half, and I've seen that description applied to glass dishes.
Can I call it Sommerso?
I suspect that I may have been reported by a 'customer' (and I use the word loosely) who bid on something I'd described as a jade green GLASS ashtray, pushed the price up, won it, paid UK postage to the US and then read the description and found out that it wasn't jade. She got really nasty when I defended my use of words and tried to explain that UK postage wasn't enough for the US. She also declined my offers to cancel the sale but her final parting email (after she paid) left me shaking
I haven't left feedback - yet!
