« on: June 03, 2011, 10:23:51 PM »
Hello all, I have this large vase, any ideas as to maker please, has the ground rim and sunken birdbath base, and have placed black material in to show pattern. Is very heavy 2.7kg about 25cm tall and 16cm rim diameter.  Many thanks to all.

Has to be East European, the west could not afford to use that much glass.

Hi,

I believe your vase is Czechoslovakian, from Rosice glassworks, pattern number 5108/25.  According to the information on Marcus Newhall's Sklo Union CD, it was also produced by Nemsova glassworks.  Unfortunately, I can't tell you anything about designer or year.  :hi:
