This is just so typical of the style of glass produced by AVEM during the 50's and still today.  Murrines placed and fused in the Incalmo technique makes a stunning piece indeed!

Is AVeM still operating? I haven't seen anything from them since the 1970s. I did see a mention in Murano Magic that they continued with a different name, but haven't seen anything they've made. The technique used is simply "tutti frutti" and not incalmo. It is cased. Perhaps that is what you mean? (incamiciato refers to cased)

These bowls are sometimes found with the red + gold Vetro Artistico Veneziano labels.  An example of the label is shown below, from the Murano101 Labels gallery:



It's seems to be unclear so far as to whether Vetro Artistico Veneziano was a manufacturer, or distributer/importer.  The label can be found on quite a wide range of Murano glass.  There has been a previous discussion here:

It would be great to finally solve this mystery, if anyone has any new info.
