I think I mentioned this one when I posted my set of pink opaline bottles.

This is my favorite of my new acquisitions.  I love yellow and this is such a lovely lemony opal color.

Bottle

Solid Ball Stopper

You can see the light through the top part

Cut edge on lip and again shows the translucent nature of the glass

Stopper out of bottle

Bottom

It is 5.75 inches tall without stopper, 7 5/8 in. tall with stopper, and the stopper is 2" in diameter of solid glass.

Country or origin? Maker?

Thanks!

There is a good chance this is a Vallerysthal or Portieux piece.  You will also find it has that hidden bonus of glowing under a blacklight (anyway, pretty sure, but you will have to check it)!

The two companies made a lot of glass in that yellow translucent color.

Thank you, Dave.  I will have to blacklight it when I get home.  I didn't get any hit of luminescence when I was photographing it.

Dave - you are absolutlely correct.  It does fluoresce under UV light.  I tested it when I got home.

Any clue where I might find more information on this piece?
