Anyone recognize this vase?
« on: June 19, 2011, 05:21:48 AM »
16 inches tall x 4 inches wide. Clear polished base, and heavy( about 6 lbs ). Have not seen a clear Murano label before, or this style of cased vase. As always, any info is greatly appreciated. Thnx for looking

I often see these type vases on Ebay attributed to Carlo Moretti.  I am not sure if yours is by Moretti or not.  I'll take a look around and see if I can find one with a label that will tell us the maker.

Yes I too have seen them attributed to Carlo Moretti and I have a pair of vases. Will post later. They have a sort of art deco feel about them don't you think. Not worth a lot (at least mine weren't) but nice to have and use.
Clean and Crisp a Murano twist.
Archimede tops my list.
