'House Martin' type bird - ID = Nightjar by Reijmyre
« on: June 19, 2011, 12:56:10 PM »
Not sure if this represents a House Martin or not but it is 5.5 inches long, 3.75 inches wide, and 2.75 tall .

Looks like black & white but the black is more of a purple colour when held to the light.

I thought Langham or Wedgwood but really not sure , any help would be great.

Thanks for looking  :hi:

Hi  :hi: I know exactly what this one is.  It is a Nightjar (I believe) made by Reijmyre.  I posted a thread to one of these a little while ago...Inca was very helpful as she has a green one.  Here is the link:

A lovely bird, one of my favourites.

Thanks Rosie !!

Well you could blow me down with a feather   :fwr: !

That's fantastic ...not only have you ID 'd the maker but also the bird !! How clever are you ! Thanks so much ! I didn't know a Nightjar even existed 'till now !! It must be one... it looks very similar in  shape and general  markings .

Mine also has a seam-line along the underside of the tail and body . So as you say in the link the main body of the bird must have been formed from a mould .

Here is a link to a pic. of a Nightjar ...if you can see it !!

Thanks very much indeed ! Mike.
