Saara Hopea "Pantteri" vase for Nuutarjärvi, designed in 1954, height 12cm.

Found this great vase on the fleamarket here today, as it is signed not too difficult to ID :)
I hesitated shortly (as it was quite expensive for me at EUR 30,- ), but decided to purchase it -- wise decision when looking at the prices these are sold for...

I am especially pleased as I like her designs very much (I have several items by her, but this is my first piece of "art glass")

Thanks for looking!
Michael

Thanks, John!

The seller next to the stand where I bought my vase had a nice tall footed Höglund vase in blue -- I was tempted, but at EUR 40,- it was over my limit...

Your candle stick is gorgeous, btw (never seen anything of this range here).

That is lovely!  I don't know anything about scandinavian glass, but I'm sure it was a very lucky buy.  Congratulations.

Thanks, Anik!
It sure is a lovely little vase... I am very fond of Saara Hopea's designs!
At the moment I am much more successful in the Scandi field than in the Czech -- not that I would mind, I collect both :)

What a reputable and not overly expensive Finnish glass online shop wanted (and obviously got) for one of these quite shocked me: http://www.laatutavara.com/eng/index.php?page=product&id=3610&ryhma=1&aliryhma=1

Oh my-oh-my!!!  Michael, I think you've been more than lucky today -- Not only are you the appreciative owner of a beautiful vase, but it's also an investment piece.  Absolutely WONDEFUL!
