Not Brockwitz - it's actually by Jeanette

Glen:
And here we go again......another depression era Jeanette handled bonbon being advertised on eBay as a "Rose Band" piece from Brockwitz "very unusual shape - previously unidentified." It's JEANETTE.

Della:
You have been busy Glen.

So obviously not as 'rare' as the ebay seller of the Carnival bowl would like us to believe.
His staritng price is high then, I take it?

 Showing my ignorance now, but I now know what this pattern looks like and who the maker is, if I see one for sale over here.

Thanks.

Glen:
The Jeanette item is really very easy to find in the USA (and on eBay). It comes in a variety of colorways. It's actually a nice piece, as long as you pay the right price for it - and know what you are getting.

There are other Carnival rose band type of patterns as well as the Brockwitz one and the later Jeanette. One is in the form of a cylinder vase (unknown maker, but could well be Polish).

The other was made in South America by Cristalerias Piccardo.

Connie:
Repeat after me ..

It is Jeannette with 2 nn's    (Sorry, Glen.  I couldn't resist.)

Jeannette is often misspelled so if you are searching for it you should probably use both spellings.

The 3rd eBay listing in the list above that Glen posted is the "amberina" flashed coloration that I mentioned earlier.  I would avoid buying the green and blue flashed or red and gold flashed unless I could see them in person since this color treatment is very prone to flaking.

Glen:
To view photos of the Jeannette item and the Brockwitz and Piccardo items, you may like to look at the article I've just done.
