Salviati Candlesticks
« on: July 01, 2011, 08:56:11 PM »
Hit an estate sale today & in the back of one cabinet were these covered in dust & a bit grimy. Can you date these by the label? Really tiny little things at only 4 1/2" & 3 1/2" base diameter. They are reversed on each side to provide the same view. Thanks, Ken

Ken, I checked Heiremans Murano Glass. He wrote the label was used in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Nice to find a label with a short time span.

Ken, I checked the Murano Zoo label section and I don't have this one in there. Could I trim the picture of the label and include it for Salviati. I have the later labels, but not this one. (Beg, beg, plead)

Thank you! It will have your name, of course. I love trying to get the series of labels done. Some of the labels are hard to get.
