The dealer was most insistent but the price was veeery low,7.5 in's across and 2 high with a polished pontil mark,so if it is then :thud:

Oh one of those! Nice colour though. Cannot recall if we got further than Elwell on this one yet... perhaps someone elses grey matter can remember....

Nigel kindly identified mine as probably Nazeing, but this was before the Elwell discoveries - were there some developments?

The pictures in mine have a blue cast (I probably muffed up the white balance). I think real colour is a good match for Nazeing's May Green.

Nigel would be able to give the definitive yes or no.

Cathy's piece is Nazeing pre-war May Green.

This posy bowl is pre-war Nazeing as well. I refer to this as Strawberry Red, which does at least fit in with Nazeing's other known names for colour  - Lilac, Primrose, etc.
