Murano Kangaroo Bookend ?
« on: July 03, 2011, 11:26:46 PM »
I just purchased this Murano kangaroo yesterday at a yard sale. It is blue on the bottom and green on top. It has a foil label on the bottom that says " Murano Glass Made in Italy". In researching this piece I found an example just like it on an auction website...there were two of them and they were in a cranberry color and  looked like maybe they were bookends. Those were attributed to Barbini for Cedenese. I am guessing that the one I have was originally one of a pair and that probably decreases the value.  Does anyone know anything about this piece? Any comments would be greatly appreciated :)

A picture of the label would be helpful...

This is the best picture I was able to get of the label, but maybe you can still get an idea of what it is. Thanks so much.
