Colourful lump that almost but just does not seem to match up with anything I can find in either...

I don't know, but Astrid has got one in her Picasa gallery which she feels might be Borocrystal...

Superm a positive ID for Astrid too. Thanks. I presume getting a designer name not so easy though!

This one on Jindrichs site for Borské Sklo is very similar in style and technique, the publication dated to 1960s.

Here is my small collection of this multicolour Borocrystal range.

@Anik: yes, they are quite loud ;D -- but I love them...
The big platter is one of my favourite Czech pieces.
