Andy believe me I did not mean to be critical of you stating your piece was art deco...the linked site itself clearly states Art Deco & that was what I was commenting on, the site name. Your vase is decorated in a Deco style & the site certainly has a nice nice mix of Nouveau & Deco. Ken

The mark on the underside of the piece is believed to be a one of a couple of Kralik marks for export to France.

The reference to HEM, IMHO is likely a reference to the house that decorated the piece post production....

Andy I don't know if you'll find it on here, but this site has an absolutely fabulous collection which may give you some ideas but will definitely make you envious :)

Interesting how one US antique dealer can have more quality pieces of french art deco than most french glass museums have in their collection.

Amazing collection. Not that I'm envious, or jealous or anything, noooo... they're probably fakes anyhow ;)

I'm not really jealous  ;D but I love that site -it's like going through a fabulous museum, beautifully photographed and easy on the eye.  OTOH scary - no prices  ;D. Last time I was in France we visited Chateau les Milande, the Chateau that Josephine Baker owned.  It had the most incredible Art Deco bathroom.   I can imagine many  of those pieces in that Chateau.

Nice collection, but the prices are borderline fraudulent (IMHO). This piece by Owe Sandeberg:

...is worth about £30, tops. Lamps by him usually sell for £40-£60 here in Sweden.

Best Regards
Emil

Sorry for hi-jacking the thread.

No problem, I'll find one for you if you pay me $750. "Special price for you my friend"...;)

Ok, those were more than £40-£60, but it's definetly possible to find one within that price range.

I think we need to be careful using the word fraudulent. Overpricing isn't necessarily fraud. I'd suggest that "high priced" or "apparently overpriced" are more appropriate in this context. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraud
