I've taken a look at Frank's Glass Zoo, and the bloated fish is there...  it's got an "Exbor Made in Czech Republic" label stuck to its lumpy-bumpy bottom.  It all seems very 'fishy'.

But even if it is made in Czech Republic, it seems far off...
I had a look throught the Exbor 2009 catalogues on Jindrich's site, but though there are many Chribska-like things there is nothing similar to that fish.

Hello Michaela and welcome to the Glass Message Board.

Do you collect Czech glass?  Have you got an Exbor fish?  (I'm still dreaming of finding one...  maybe one day...) Ah, questions, questions...

:hi:

Hello Anik :) I'm beginner...in comparison with you, collecting just for few months (6-8). In terms of fish I have 1 piece but common ZBS not Exbor :o) maybe one day ;)

I've been interested in glass for a bit over a year, so also a beginner. ;D
It's great to have another Czech glass collector on the board...  by the way, I love ZBS fish and animals.  I've got two fish and one owl-like creature.

Michael, I apologise for hijacking your thread.    Back to Exbor fish.

A bit early to trash the blown fish, it was found at a time when Exbor was not a very well known company so dubious label addition is not highly likely. It is also a very well made fish of that popular genre, you have to compare like with like. To undo a label attribution you either prove the factory did not produce the item or identify another that did. Also best to discuss in original thread :girlcheer:

And another Exbor fish with chips ;D

Same colours as the first one, this one has the acid stamp and a very interesting label I haven't seen before (Grand Prix Expo 58...)

Two fish now?  I'm still waiting for my first one...  Michael, your third one will certainly be in perfect condition and a bargain -- at least, that's what I'm hoping. :)

Very nice find!
