Now that's an interesting label on a beautiful fish. In Hi Sklo Lo Sklo it states that the idea for this fish came from the sculptures that Vera Liskova was doing for Moser and which were to be included in the World Exposition in Brussels. I wonder if this fish was sent there, too.

Thanks Anik and David!
I had to "rescue" him because he is such a nice companion for the other one :) (and he wasn't expensive, guess why)

I don't know if the label indicates that Exbor fish were sent to the Expo 58; I would rather guess that it just means something like "... pieces like this won us a Grand Prix in Brussels Expo..." (similar to some vases which were discussed on the Murano board recently). But I would think that Expo fame should indicate that this particular piece wasn't produced many years later.

On the other hand Exbor fish were shown in 1959 CGR issues already...

My third Exbor fish 8)

And my first in marvellous condition.
He is really beautiful, and as an added bonus has an "Exbor Czechoslovakia" acid stamp.

@ David: yours is stunning, great colours!

Michael

Thank you, B.!

These are all so beautiful, and the colours are so lovely.
Now I'm starting to think that it is time to add some fishes to my collection!
I was only going to collect birds, then added animals and then some humans, then a snail and a few frogs,  so I suppose I would be considered 'fishist' if I didn't have a few!
I'll go and have a look see and see if there are any swimming around in the Bay of E!
Race you there Michael!! :)

Il est fabuleux, n'est-ce pas ;)
Thanks for the nice comments!

Rosie, you have to add one or the other fish to your glass animal collection -- their streamline shapes with fluid lines are suited perfectly to be made of glass...

Hi guys!

I recently found an Exbor fish on a fleamarket too. Only today i could ID it. Pics follow in a couple of minutes.
Here's an interesting site from an Exbor fish collector:
