Hello
I would be really grateful if you could upload your pictures directly to the GMB board please.  Otherwise at some point in the future they may disappear off the link and then any information given becomes useless to future users as there is no reference point.  Thanks in advance for doing this  :)
In the meantime, your set reminds me of as John says, some Mazoyer signatures but is also similar to other signatures of that time.  I believe there were many decorators in France and Belgium working during that period so it may be quite difficult to trace.  I have only a couple of books but looking in them there isn't anything similar I can see and no reference to the name.
It reminds me a little of Quenvitt piece I have as well and also of the Joma signature.  There is a set here that appears to have the same metal fixing on the perfume bottle as yours http://www.sheryls-artdeco.com/gls21.html (scroll down to the second pic down of the orange set)
Browsing through Sheryl's site may help.  Also searching for Legras dressing table sets may be an idea as they perhaps might have been Legras blanks?  Trying to match the powder box might be a nightmare but it's possible you might find a Legras piece that matches the shape and size.  I think it's a little like looking for a needle in a haystack  ;D unfortunately.  But it's a stunning set and so large...I don't think I've seen one with all those pieces.

Thank-you both for your replies,i shall try to redo the photo's,sorry i am not very putta savvy & some things take me awhile to grasp ::) ;D

I shall look at the names you have mentioned, cheers for that as i am really stumped,if i do indeed sell the set i really want to know as much as i can as this would reflect the price.
Price wise i have no idea either so the hunt is still on.

And reading back through your post flying free i think it is best to hold off on selling it until i find out more.

thanks guys,kat

Oh just remembered i did have trouble loading photo's yonks ago because  it kept saying the file was too big? have to work that one out :'(

If you have problems I resize to 700 x 500 and that seems to work well.  Otherwise I don't know how to tell you what to do but there is a help topic on the board somewhere. If you have trouble please let us know and I'm sure one of the moderators will be able to help you or upload them for you  :)  thanks again for trying.

Hi ya

someone called?

A Monso is listed in the great Glasmarken Lexikon -the bible for glass marks. But unfortunately it says almost exactly what I would have guessed

Basically: French, Enameller, 1930s, and everything else unknown.

There were hundreds of glass houses in France, many of them in Paris, that bought blank glassware and hot and/or cold enamelled them. The majority never even signed their pieces. A Monso is unusual in that they obviously, sometimes, signed their wares. As for any links to Lalique, well Lalique employed a lot of people and I'm sure some moved on, but he did not employ enamelers -so I'm  a little sceptical.

Weirdly these types of finishing houses were quite vocal in protesting that their 'bought-in' glass blanks were 'French made'; something I suspect was often not true, in the early 1930 bohemian ones would have been as good quality and probably a lot cheaper. But when the french economy struggled in the mid thirties the price of French made blanks plummeted.

Sorry I can't help more.

cheers all

Cheers flying,ok i have had a sqiz & i see what you both mean about the similar styles of the siggi, very interesting & beautiful pieces.
I can see the talent of "Monso's" hand so i would think that these were not painted by a backyard artist so to speak, but also not quite the talent of "Legras" either.

A needle in a haystack indeed :P
