Scandanavian Glass possibly Holmegaard?
« on: July 29, 2011, 09:57:48 PM »
I'm trying to identify this peice of glassware I recently bought - I think it's Scandanavian possibly Holmegaard, but it could be Italian - I'm really not sure. It stands just under 6" high and you can notice from the images that it has an unusual 'spout' (or possibly an indent where it once had a spoon?) on the lip at the top of the item.

Regards

When you ask for identification of a piece of glass it is advisable to post at least three pictures.  It is also helpful to give dimensions - height , diameter, etc.
(a)  a good side-on - profile picture
(b)  a clear photo of the BASE
(c)  A clear photo of the rim
(d)  If it is signed as clear a photo of that as you can manage
(e)  A general photo as you probably see it.

You have supplied (c) and (e) of the above list.  It would be a help if you get a photo of both (a) and (b) and post them, I am assuming it is not signed but if it is take that as well.

Is it Scandinavian?  Personally not sure.  Holmegaard? I think it unlikely.  Try consulting

Hi is it a light fitting?

hmm, perhaps it's supposed to be a lamp when turned upside down?

Excellent!

Is there a hole in the top then, or is it just flat?
