Christine, the auction is still going...  ;D Your chance -  I wonīt bid. I think
the īDaumī will make it a bit too expensive for me.
(p.s.: 40 for the large and 4.5 for the small one)

Ivo, thanks for your comment. So the ebay-Daum might be a forgery?

So the ebay-Daum might be a forgery?

I couldn't possibly confirm that...

Thanks, Ivo. The search goes on...  :)

M, the vasesī top rims have been ground, polished and bevelled before they got
the acid finish. The larger vase also has a ground and polished base.

Thanks for showing, Dave - much appreciated! I think they are vaguely related, but many glassworks
made vases in this style - satinated surface with landscape painting. So the search goes on...  ;D

Sorry for hijacking ;)
But this little vase is surely from the same maker, so I was curious if any new information has surfaced in the meantime...

6.5 cm high, 7 cm diameter.
Same construction as Dirk's first piece, thin inner layer pink fading to clear towards the base, Uranium casing (glows like mad under UV).

Thanks,
Michael

They are all lovely  :)

Is the quality of the making and the enamelling very good?  do they have some weight to them?

Sorry m, your reply somehow escaped me...

The weight of my miniature piece is appr. 100g, so fairly lightweight.

I would think that the quality of the "blank" is good, ultra thin pink inner layer, thick uranium casing, nicely finished rim with bevelled edge to the outside.
I cannot really judge the quality of the enamelling, lack of experience :-/
