Need help once again: this vase has a very thick (especially at the bottom) casing of clear bubbly glass, which starts below the rim.
Smooth rim and base (sligthly indented). Height 13.5 cm, diameter 13 cm.

Any ideas? - My best guess would be German - I bought it from a German antiques dealer at the fleamarket...
He had another one as well, different shape but same technique.

Thanks!
Michael

Try Meijdam, Leerdam. Unless it is Ichendorf of course, of which I know nothing.

Wow, thanks a lot, Ivo -- wouldn't have thought of Leerdam (once again :))

Did a quick search and found this vase -- looks very similar in shape to the other vase that dealer had (stupid me didn't buy it).

edit: found another one - http://antiek-kunst.marktplaats.nl/antiek-glas-en-kristal/451667047-kristallen-floris-meydam-vaas-met-luchtbelletjes-leerdam.html

Unfortunately I do not know anything about Ichendorf either, so I will keep looking...

I see the condition of the piece in your link is "a litttle bit fluffy" this is a new one to me!
I was having a little wonder if Norway might be a possibility? Randsfjordglas, perhaps?
Only going on a hunch - it has some features I associate with Benny Mozfeldt's designs for Randsfjordglas.

(But looking at your link, I reckon that's a bit more like it.  )

Thanks, Sue!
I had a look at the Benny Motzfeldt pieces, there are surely similarities, but Ivo's Meydam suggestion seems to be spot-on :rah:

Mine was ' a bit fluffy' but I had it tumbled and now you can look through it again... so these have a tendency to fluff up and go all misty mushy and furry.
But @ 125 it seeems worth the exercise - if there are any takers. And yes it does have the original Leerdam sticker..

Mine's not fluffy at all :usd:
And at 12,- Euro a bargain then...

These seem to come in quite a few shapes?
