IoW vase?
« on: August 06, 2011, 01:43:52 PM »
Picked this up today thinking it looks like it could be? had a look through my Mark Hill and found nothing similar.

Then whilst looking through Isle of Wight site spotted this photo from Suzy looks very similar to the one on the left?

Chris, looking at the link and a quick glance through Mark Hill's book, I think your vase, probably comes under the Gemstone range that was produced. Looks like there was a few different designs and patterns. Looks like Suzy has them as Gemstone in the title, and just reading the book it looks like they produced a colourway like yours. Fingers crossed, they do look very similar in the photos, nice globe.

 :)

Thought it probably was, a bit of a race against time been buying far too much and not selling anything so thanks for the quick replies, just the colour now then Suzy  ;D just to tidy things up.

Yep IOWSG Gemstone Aquamarine, lucky you!  What size is it?

It's the only later range I actively collect, plus the very occasional piece of Mosaic/Gloden Mosaic.
