Pink cloud glass?
« on: February 02, 2006, 08:19:21 PM »
There are two bowls in my charity shop and they both look like Pink Cloud Glass. One seems to be covered in some sort of coating which is easily scratched off. The other bowl - which looks modern - has a circular mould line on the back (no pattern).

Is Walther or some other company still making these?

I'll see if I can take some photo's before they sell them.

Thanks.

Saw some of these pink cloud glass pieces around the fairs last year, the clue being one still had a Polish makers label attached despite the sellers Murano ticket.

Pink cloud style glass appears (or did appear) on this thread
http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,3135.0.html

So we've got Walther, Polish and possibly Murano.

I'll get a picture tomorrow if I can. I was afraid that it might be Walther for £2 so I posted this topic. I shall ask my manager to withdraw the bowls from sale just in case.  :)

Thank you AlmasAttic for posting the picture again.  :D

Here they are

This one has white streaks in
pink/purple coloured glass

This bowl has white streaks in clear glass
with a peach coloured frosting to the back.
Scratched in places.
