Ferro-Lazzarini glass paperweight
« on: February 16, 2006, 05:04:01 PM »
:?:
I recently aquired several paperweights that I believe are Ferro-Lazzarini.
Only one is marked with the Murano label, althought they are all simialar in appearance.
My problem is that I can not find any info on these weights.
anyone who can direct me or tell me what I have would be greatly appriecated.
1. Red, orange and white flower with bubble base
2. yellow, brown and white with bubble base
3. sky blue flower petal with bubble in each center, five flower single petal flower and bubble base.

1 and 3 are 3 1/2 dia
2 is  2 1/2 dia

thank you
cecile

Cecile, try looking at Jackie Lindsay's site http://www.muranopaperweights.co.uk/eugenio_ferro.html for Murano paperweights.

Your description of the flowers in a bubble base reminds me of my Ferro & Lazzarini weight inscribed 'Gino' on the base     Is it anything like this? http://tinypic.com/view/?pic=nx98xg

yes it is similar, but only has one flower with 5 petals, the colors are the same as the bubbles :)
it is not inscribed on the bottom.
