I may post some pics at some stage, there wont be many LOL  And now everyone on here has scads of money or are excellent bargain hunters?  Please tell me there is hope still out there for the budget collector to get some awesome items... :spls:

I'm a bargain hunter for sure Selina, the most I've ever paid for any piece was £35 for a new piece by Allister Malcolm. Most of my collection cost just a couple of pounds each.

Hi Selina,  worry not,  I got this beautifully carved piece for 99p!! It is signed as well,  just still don't know who did it.
Very Christmassy!!

Well I HAUNT ebay LOL But what kills me is the postage to Australia. And I've read that its the same for anyone buying from here. I see some lovely items go for 9.99 and then its $40 postage We just dont seem to have the variety or the volume of great glass here. At least not where I am...:( Saving my pennies for a trip to the UK I think...Im originally from there and all my relatives are still there.... I'm dying to go to one of the flea markets or boot sales, or whatever they are called. I will be picking everyone's brains for the best one to go to :) And I guess I will take an empty suitcase with me LOL

Lovely bargain for 99p btw  :hiclp:

What part of the UK were you originally from Selina?
There is always a warm welcome here if you need somewhere to stay....just had an eBay pen friend come over to stay in the Summer, and it was such good fun.......plenty of room and some pretty good boot fairs, Charity shops and the like!

Originally from Kent, but I was only young when we left. My nan still lives there but she's 92 and not very well. My aunts and uncles and cousins all live in various areas around there. Not any great distance away though. I came back in the 90's but the Aussie dollar was worth about 33 cents to the pound! So there was no hope of buying anything and I was 'into' beanie babies and toy collecting then LOL. Can you believe I used to hate glass..... the things I threw away :(
And let me know if there is anything special you are looking for...like I said I haunt ebay and I've passed on so many bargains purely because of postage...but Im always happy to pass on items to anyone else. Id rather see a glass lover get an item and know its going to be preserved and looked after. I've bought a few lovely Victorian vases over the years and been devastated when they have arrived here smashed, so any chance to save some lovely glass and Im there LOL. It also put me off buying from overseas....
