Well, I wouldn't call it a sig, even though it might be described as one - it's a scratched word - possibly done quickly by the artist  or someone working with them as it were, or possibly done by the artist who couldn't use a diamond point engraver,  or possibly done by the first owner lol, or possibly even done as the name of the place of an exhibition where it might have taken part (I do have a vase signed by the artist that also has the name of the exhibition place where it was to be exhibited, so perhaps that is also a possibility)- it's one of those kind of 'sigs' 

and it's not who I thought it might be as an outside guess given the 'sig', although that matters not as I just fell in love with the vase  :girlcheer:

I love the 'people' decanters in particular Greg.....and until recently, didn't see a great deal in Maltese glass,    but the more I see of it here on the board, Sue's and now yours, the more I am warming to it and thinking.............now where can I put the next cabinet???
I haven't done any themes recently, but it is Spring cleaning time coming up, and so I might well do one soon.....but it will be animals and birdies I'm afraid!......hope you don't mind!?

Roise, I'm quite a fan of the Riihimaki decanters, they bring a smile to my face when ever I look at them. Technically, the clear piece on the left is a Riihimaki "Ahkeraliisa" or also known as "Busy Lizzy" which is easier to remember! The other two are decanters, designed by Helena Tynell, which were inspired by a children's story originally. To date I only have two out of four that were produced, the blue one is known as 'Pikku Matti' (Little Matt) and the other 'Isoisa' (Grandfather). Look forward to seeing new pics your latest flock soon.

Sue, thanks, although its no where near your hoard of Mdina, I'm surprised there's not a global shortage! -  No cobalt blue pieces I'm afraid.

You have pieces I covet, Greg - as does John and quite a few others.
I suppose though, when it comes to the best bits, there is a world shortage - there's only so much a man, even a workaholic like Michael Harris, can do in three years!

Thanks for all that info Greg, really interesting......the blue one reminds me of the Flour Grader's 'Fred'. I had a lot of them (yes, I know it is plastic! but in the 70's they were Juliette's playthings,)  then I sold them for a fortune on ebay and used the dosh to buy a lovely piece of Leerdam glass....a little Satin Glass Dachshund that I adore....I have two of them now,  but got outbid on a clear glass version the other night 2am!!!!....still haven't really got over it, BUT, I did get the ellie and that should arrive soon, then I will do a Leerdam animal display for this thread....OK?
Oh, another Leerdam Deer has just arrived....the one that cost £26 to pay the customs people for VAT....I didn't think you payed VAT on second hand goods?  Anyone know better than me about it?? :usd:
