sorry Sue, appreciate your mark is there, but too feint to see with certainty, and might benefit from a black background and the use of antiquerose's magnifying glass. :)   Would agree with Patricia re Reynolds book which is most definitely worth having if your area includes JWW material  -  my only personal gripe would be that reproductions of the patterns are not the best of quality images and most of the writing is at best difficult to read  -  but I guess better to have than not.     I have three pieces only, two of which are marked - one being the little Pompeian u. posy vase on plate 21 and a nice pair of drinking glasses that I picked up this morning, and as yet am unable to locate in the patterns.    I saw the posy vase again this morning, and although I spent ages looking couldn't find a mark.    My third is a large Pompeian bowl which defies me to find a mark, and although you can't make assumptions remotely from three pieces, just maybe (I'm thinking) the earlier material is more poorly back stamped. :)     The mark shown is quoted by Reynolds as  'c.1930  -  1951', but as is common with many of the glass backstamps, does appear in various publications.

It's on a lumpy bit of the base, the stem is right behind it, I couldn't get a background behind the mark.
(it was a miracle I managed to "catch" it at all, Paul  :-* ) - however, the script is the same as the "Walsh" bit on your far superior image, but there's no "england" bit.
I don't have the glass any more to try to do it again.
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

you have my sympathy Sue, in that you no longer have that beautiful liqueur glass :-* - I could never have parted with it.     JWW glassware is arguably the least common that I see   -  maybe better quality glass such as Walsh doesn't circulate anything like Webb/Stuart/E&L  -  but I'm guessing really  -  perhaps the answer really is that Webb and Stuart material was knocked out in far great quantity, and so pops up more often.   Anyway, just because you can't take decent pics. there's no reason to give us Sassenach's a lower case 'e' :P       However, do still practise against a dark background, and remember the magnifying glass :)

Like yourself jp, I spend too much time joking  -  I would never wish you anything other than success with your sales :).     However, Patrick's passing reference to the Walsh 'Kenilworth' pattern has brought something to my attention which I will post, separately, under British Glass  -  and would be more than grateful if you are able to spare a moment to look at.      Will post within the next hour.    thanks.
You're so right about Rosie, she is a real ta(r)tar, she is always egging us young lads on, and we end up getting the blame. ;) ;)
