Hello all... :hi:

Lovely clear glass vase with textured trails of green glass. Very nice quality and also has the remains of a label. I can so far read "de in Western" I assume it is "Made in western Germany" Any ideas on a maker anyone?

Thanks, mark

Yes, western Germany. I have a picture of the same vase in brown with a label "Made in Western Germany." I would post the pictures, but they aren't mine. And one is only a thumbnail, so very poor quality.

Pretty sure it's by Gistl, and West German, as you say. Often listed as Siderio by Barovier & Toso or Tortuga by Leerdam. The Gistl pieces seem to have been made for a long time with the earlier pieces being better quality than the later.

See also this other thread from last year for several similar style items and also a link to a web page other than the GMB showing a couple of Gistl Glas items.
