Old-ish wine glass no. 2
« on: August 30, 2011, 03:05:04 AM »
I've had this one even longer than the other I posted!  It's another one I'm seeking opinions on please...

Grey cast to the glass, quite heavy for its wee size: 3½ inches tall, 2½ inch diameter across the top, 2⅛ inch diameter across the foot.

Tiny depression on base of foot under stem but don't know if it's a polished out pontil mark - possibly not. Bowl has 5 ridges round its lowest part, upper part of bowl is optically ribbed on the inside, rim is polished round again.

Again, maker is probably a non-starter but an idea of age would be welcome if anyone can help please. :)
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

Your glass does look like mine, is the lower part of the bowl solid? Mine is solid glass behind the rings,

Mine's solid from the 3rd ring from the top. The upper two rings are part of the bowl.
