Unsigned mdina?
« on: September 02, 2011, 02:53:13 PM »
Fairly certain this is a Mdina paperweight but it's unsigned.  Did they produce unsigned work? If so, when?

It's got a fair amount of scratching on the base and a few nibbles which suggests to me it's not that new.  Also, the colouring seems to extend into the top knobble.  Is this normal or would it be a second perhaps?

Not all Mdina is signed, there's quite a bit that's unsigned, due to the large amounts produced.

I wouldn't think there's anything amiss with the colouring at the top.

Nothing wrong with any of it.
Loads of Mdina is un MARKED (it's not signed - a signature means signed), but there is no particular period or anything when it was or wasn't done - it merely depended on whether or not somebody had time to do it.
