Kez's is proper Hartley Wood, just not vintage Hartley Wood. It's one of the Grecian shape vases in the blue and opal colourway

Nice vases Kez, very underrated for some reason, the earlier ones  charm I think is in their crudeness, wonky, uneven rims, high 'kicked out bases with a rough unfinished bases and bubbles galore.
Hope you can see this in the photos, 'proper' may have been the wrong choice of words to describe these earlier pieces but viewed  in the context it was intended and as with Mdina and IoW  those early pieces do it for me.

Mark is clearly commemorating their centenary so quite a special piece really! Particularly odd as they closed in 1989. 1893 is possibly when the factory got going again by James Hartley but company was not formed until 1895 when Alfred Wood joined... So perhaps it was an advance commemorative... or someonr made it somewhere else in 1993 to celebrate the anniversary.... puzzling.

I have been away , so have just read the later comments . I have these vase too , are they earlier Hartley Wood
pieces ?  Blue one is 6 inches high with rough pontil , and green one is 9 inches .
