Cobalt blue candlestick for id
« on: September 07, 2011, 08:50:57 PM »
This is lovely (In my eyes anyway)

The Glass is a rich, flawless, cobalt blue (Looks lighter in the pics) The gilding is quite thick looking and although aged and worn in places it looks almost solid - if that makes sense. The whole thing feels so nice!

The base has a circle of wear (Quite allot) about halfway towards it's center. It's also heavier than it looks.

So I'm thinking Italian? Czech? 1960s - Am I off the mark?

Height = 225mm

I think it might be almost impossible to track down a maker for this.   :cry:  As an aside, one candlestick is much less desirable than a pair, this is generally reflected in the price.

I am not a man

Thanks max. I know it looks quite ordinary in the pictures but In real life it's a lot nicer - some things don't seem to translate to 2 dimensions so well I guess. Single candle sticks are my forte! I have a whole collection :)
